Davis Jackson Eagle Project

Posted on Nov 16 2023 - 6:22pm

Hello, my name is Davis Jackson and I am fundraising for my Eagle Scout Project and still need more money to get to my final goal amount, so if you can help, any amount would be appreciated.

I have already completed one weekend of work renovating the clubhouse at the JJ Pearce Mustangs baseball field and my second set of workdays is coming up this weekend. As a Mustang baseball player, I want to combine my love for the game with my Eagle project to improve the ballpark experience for future players and their families. The money raised will be used to purchase the materials needed to complete the project such as wood siding panels, lumber, roof panels, paint, brushes, and assorted fasteners and supplies.

If you would like to contribute to my project, the GoFund Me can be found here: DAVISEAGLE

My final work days are coming up this weekend November 18-19.  Please note that I changed the original planned time & location for Saturday, so check the signup genius for the most updated information. Even if you can't work an entire shift, any time/help is appreciated. Please sign up for a shift (or two) at this link:  DJWORKDAYS

Thank you!

Davis Jackson

More parental involvement needed

Posted on Nov 15 2023 - 8:45pm

As a large troop we have a lot of requests for assistance on people’s time; however, we need more parental assistance than we are currently receiving. There was less parental participation for Cottonwood than we could have used and we still need quite a few volunteers for Winter Camp. We need parental help in order to function and we need parents that aren’t assisting to begin doing so. A lot of the work for the troop falls on a small group of people and some of those people have kids that are going to be ageing out of the troop and others are getting burned out. Please help so that all of our boys can have a great scout experience and the burden is more evenly distributed.

Upcoming Needs:

  • Flags IN Saturday, November 18th
  • Davis Jackson’s Eagle Project, November 18-19
  • Next Campout is November 17-19, Webelos Woods
