Troop 1001 2023-2024 Scouting Year Kickoff Party and mandatory parent meeting is TOMORROW!

Join the troop for a lock-in at Group Dynamix. Starts at 7PM on Friday August 11, ending Saturday at 7AM.

Parent meeting will begin at 7PM also and should run about 1.5 hours.  At least one parent from each family needs to attend.

Ropes courses, games, challenges and late-night pizza! $45 per Scout covers the all-night program & pizza/snacks/drinks.

Each participant will need to complete our online waiver (or in the case of minors, the waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian): https://groupdynamix.com/waiver/.

Popcorn pre-sales at GDX

We will be selling popcorn to troop members at the GDX event at a discount (we're selling to you at cost) to clean out inventory before the new sales begin.

Bags that originally sold for $30 will only be $21.

Please bring cash, check or credit card to buy popcorn for your family or friends.

Popcorn sales begin soon. Mandatory training information below

Ahoy Troop 1001!

I am sending this from the Seabase Florida Keys Sailing program. It is time for popcorn sales so that your boys can earn money in order to pay their way for high adventures, dues or even summer camp! There are currently shifts open to sign up starting August 5th.

With that said, you and your scout must attend ONE of the three zoom meetings that will be offered. If you do not attend one of these trainings you can not sign up for a shift to sell. This training is to clarify rules and expectations while selling popcorn. Last year there was a bit of a grey area and this year any deviation from the expectation given will have ramifications on the Troop. As of right now we will only be signing up for August until it is filled.

I am finalizing the training dates and will post the final dates (it's looking like July 31st, August 1st and August 3rd at 7:30PM) and the zoom link as soon as possible.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

The "old" website is back!

You spoke and we heard you!! Our old website is BACK and better than ever - www.troop1001.org

Our FABULOUS team of behind the scenes volunteers are still diligently putting the pieces back together but for the most part, things are still located where they used to be.

HUGE shout out to DAVE GANTT, TREY OTTE, JASON BOOKER & CARY SLOBIN for getting us back up and running. JILL TEAGARDEN also worked diligently to get our database all cleaned up and reconciled. 

Our event registration is now back on this website (like before) and is no longer in TroopMaster. IF you registered for an event in TroopMaster, Cary re-registered you for GDX on this website.

TroopMaster is still the system we use for our ADVANCEMENT Tracking BUT we are NO LONGER using TroopMaster for our calendar and event registration. https://tmweb.troopmaster.com/mysite/T1001 (Look for the login link in the top left corner)

FYI - You can access the locked sections on the left tool bar of the new webpage with the password "CanyonCreekCrew!"

Calendar info: You will need to reset your calendar if you want it synched to your phone/tablet/etc

With the shift to the new company and new servers handling the troop website, if you previously subscribed to the troop calendar you will need to deactivate it on your device and reestablish the connection to the new calendar.

To get started, navigate to the upper left corner of the troop website in the "User" section and under your user name, you will see the "Calendar Sync" option.  Click HERE for instructions for how to activate it.
