Orienteering - THIS SATURDAY!

Posted on Mar 1 2018 - 10:00pm

Orienteers, there’s an O-Meet this weekend!

For those scouts working on their Orienteering merit badge, the hardest requirement is participating in three Orienteering events/meets.  For those that attended Winter Camp in the past two years, you each have at least one event completed.  And for those who recently went to the O-Meet at Camp James Ray, here’s a chance to try a course on your own.  Note: If you still prefer to team up with a buddy rather than compete alone, that is fine also.

Wood Badge Training for Adults - Please Read

Posted on Mar 1 2018 - 9:56pm

Wood Badge is for You, Those You Know, and Those You Want to Know!

All of us understand how critical proper training is for adult leaders and many of you have already taken part in many of the opportunities available at the District and Council levels. We are a better because of it, and our youth have benefitted from your commitment - thank you.

Merit Badge Counselor Training

Posted on Mar 1 2018 - 9:53pm

Troop 1001 Merit Badge Counselors:

  1. Just a reminder to please return your Merit Badge Counselor Information Forms (attached).  They are required by BSA annually, and it will also allow me to update our troop’s list.
  1. We have several scouts that are interested in doing the Fire Safety merit badge, and we do not have an adult MBC signed-up for that.  Please let me know if you are willing to take this on.

Thank you!
