Merit Badge Counselor Training - 12/12 @ 7pm @ TBC

With Winter Camp in January there will be new Merit Badge Counselors.  On Monday Dec 12 at 7:00 pm at TBC, there will be Merit Badge Counselor Training; this training is necessary before a scouter can teach and sign off as a MB Counselor.

Richardson's 44th Annual Christmas Parade and SaturdayActivities at Santa's Village Canceled Due to Weather

Richardson’s 44th Annual Christmas Parade as well as the tree lighting and other activities at Santa’s Village have been canceled for Saturday due to weather forecasts that call for a high probability of heavy rain and cold temperatures throughout the day.

First Aid Merit Badge - 11/28 and 12/5

SIGN UP NOW - Veterans Day Flags In Saturday 11/12

Veterans Day was initially known as Armistice Day, and was designated a holiday in 1919 in recognition of the end of World War I. In 1954, Congress changed the name to "Veterans Day", in honor of all Veterans. This year, Veterans day, November 11, will be observed on a Friday. 
As a result, we will distribute flags the preceding Saturday Nov 05. 
 
For the flags program, the troop works with the Canyon Creek Home Owners Association Flag Program to distribute flags for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Patriot Day, and Veterans Day. As a result, the troop is able to raise money to help fund activities for the scouts by receiving
a dollar for each flag installed and another dollar for every flag retrieved and stored. We recently increased the number of flags installed & retrieved to 495!  With this increase, Troop 1001 became the largest Boy Scout troop distributing flags, and earning the troop $990.

  • 22-pack Movie Theater Extra Butter Microwave Popcorn - 2 left, $25 each
  • Chocolate Drizzle with Caramel & Nuts - 2 left, $25 each
  • Supreme Caramel Corn with Almonds, Pecans, Cashews - 2 left, $20 each
  • Classic Trail Mix - 1 left, $20
  • Cinnamon Crunch - 7 left, $20 each
  • Mauve Sea Salt (yes, the corn is purple but it pops up white) - 2 left, $15 each
  • Classic Caramel Corn - 3 left, $10 each
