The scout's campout to Slippery Falls, Oklahoma went as planned. Every scout that attempted to climb the thirty foot wall made it to the top. The orienteering course was a success with all patrols save one completing the course. The cooking portion of the plan culminated in homemade ice cream.

Scouters Roy C., Rick M. and Brett R. are to be commended for the excellent climbing course they ran. It included a session on proper knots for climbing and time on an indoor climbing wall.

A big thank you to Scouters Galen K. and Scott B. who put together a real orienteering course for the patrols. The winning patrol completed the speed course in under twenty-three minutes! The event was so well received the PLC is planning to have more orienteering at future campouts.

This last event had cooking as a theme. The scouters ate like kings thanks to Terry W. We will always find a place for you to pitch your tent, Mr. W.

Tonight scouts should come to the meeting prepared to make or perfect patrol flags.

Scouters will meet to plan staffing for the upcoming October and November campouts.

See you at 7:00pm.

Yours in Scouting,
Scoutmaster Coon
