During our next troop meeting, Monday September 25th, patrols will be coming together and creating flags. Bring materials for your flag. Glue and colored markers will be provided.
These flags will be used through out the remainder of the year so remember that each patrol is encouraged to keep their flag with them at all times. It will be displayed at all scouting events unless told otherwise.
Troop 1001 will be having the next monthly campout at Mr. Raney's Ranch where there will be fishing, shooting sports and more! The campout will take place October 20th through the 22nd.
The next quartermaster meeting is on Saturday September 23rd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm (this time may go on longer than expected. It all depends on how hard we work). We will be cleaning out the troop shed and organizing it so loading and unloading for campouts will be easy.
Scott S. is the new troop librarian. If you have any questions on merit badge books or what merit badges we will be working on during the upcoming campouts, Scott is the scout to see. Congratulations Scott!
Barrett's eagle scout project has been rescheduled for September 23rd from 9:00am to 3:00pm. There will be pizza and drinks provided. It is located at Arapaho Elementary located at 1300 Cypress Drive, Richardson, Texas 75080. The project is building and painting a gazebo, so wear clothes that you aren't afraid to get dirty!
