Greetings Scouts and Scouters,
Tonight there is a committee meeting at 7:00pm at the Trinity Bible Church, agenda attached. [Ed. note: See the article Committee Meeting - Wed, Sept 13.] All adult volunteers should plan to attend. We plan to be done by 8:00pm so the quartermaster team will have time to load the trailers this evening in preparation for the campout this weekend. Here is a list of scouts that need to be at the church at 8:00pm: Stan C, Ethan H, Tom D, Ben J, James M, Mark K, Joseph T, Jack R, Andrew Mc.
The theme is cooking and climbing this weekend at Slippery Falls Camp, Oklahoma. Please plan to be at Trinity Bible Church at 5:00 on Friday 9/15. We plan to depart Friday at 6:00pm.
God and Country Award class begins this coming Monday night, Sept. 18 at 6:00 pm at Trinity. Yes, that is right after the campout, and there is only a PLC meeting, not a full troop meeting, so no uniform required. Future GAC classes will not be right after campouts. Please bring $3.79 for the Student Workbook (additional, same amount, if you also want the Mentor's Workbook), a pen/pencil, and a Bible. Questions, call Grady Frank 972-658-0103.
Our semi-annual Cottonwood Fundraiser is coming soon, 6, 7 & 8 of October. Troop 1001 will be doing volunteer work at the art fair. Please plan your schedules accordingly. If you cannot volunteer time remember money is an acceptable substitute. Donna V is accepting cash contributions to the troop for those who cannot assist in this fundraising opportunity for the boys.
