The new chuck boxes are in! There are a few safety tips for taking care of them.

  1. Don't sit on the chuck boxes for they are only designed to hold a certain amount of weight.
  2. A small scratch could cause water to seep in and cause them to detirerate a lot faster.
  3. These need to last many years, so treat them with care.
  4. Keep them clean and free of food, oil and water.

Cottonwood Fundraiser is coming soon, on the sixth, seventh and eighth of October. Troop 1001 will be doing volunteer work at the art fair. Please plan to help out.

The first weekend of November is Webelos Woods at Camp Cherokee. Troop 1001 is managing the archery range. All Troop 1001 volunteers welcome. See Scoutmaster Coon if you are interested in staffing.

Kane K is Junior Course director for the upcoming Oak Leaf in October. He will be asking scouts to assist.
