Boy Scout Troop 1001

Scouts and adults attending summer camp will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, June 1, at TBC. Final paperwork, medical forms, and payments ($230 for Scouts, $175 for adults) must be complete and turned in at that time. Scouts will work on forming patrols, distributing gear lists, etc., while adults will sort out the logistics of trailers and drivers. The troop has three backpacks suitable for summer camp to loan to anyone who needs one, and many gently worn uniform pieces are available, as well: See uniform coordinator Kathryn Mohn or Committee Chairman Doug Miller.

The newly elected PLC (SPL, Troop Guides, ASPL's, PL's) should bring their summer schedules Monday to decide on a weekend for the summer planning session. Adults wishing to serve as Patrol Advisors should also attend and bring in their schedules to discuss with Mr. Payette, as the idea is to run planning and training sessions for both groups at the same time, same place -- probably Lake Texoma.
