Boy Scout Troop 1001

We will conduct impromptu Boards of Review for scouts of current rank Scout through Second Class during the regular meeting, 7-8:30 pm. Scouts already First Class and above need to request their board and these will typically take place from 6-7pm. Scouts must present themselves in their full Class A uniform for a BOR. No borrowing uniform parts from other scouts.

Recent adult leader position changes mean that we are still in need of additional adult help. In particular: Patrol Advisors and Adults to sit on Boards of Review. We will train you for either or both of these positions. We especially need help with boards these next two weeks in order to advance many scouts, and a uniform is not required to sit on a board. Parents, if you are not already serving elsewhere- PLEASE please volunteer to be a BOR member!

31st annual Trade-O-Ree is Jan 23 & 24 @ Grapevine Convention Center: huge scout memorabilia swap meet- featuring mostly patches, but lots of other good stuff too. Typically there is a collections merit badge class conducted as well. See Doug Miller or Walker Watts for details.
