All New Leaders

Youth Protection Training - Online (YPT).  Takes 30 minutes or less.  Must be taken every 2 years.

Fast Start Training - Online Takes 30 minutes or less. Note: If you have a BSA member ID, make sure to use it when registering for online courses.  If not, take the training now and update your online profile after your receive your BSA member ID.
New Leader Essentials -- Saturday Jan. 31, 9:00am-11:30 am OR Wednesday Feb. 4, 7:00 - 9:30 pm. $5.  YPT and Fast Start are prerequisites. Class held at First United Methodist Church of Richardson (FUMCR)

Boy Scout Troop Committee Training --  Sat., Jan. 31, 2009  1:00 - 3:30 pm.   FUMCR

Boy Scout Leader Specific Training -- 3 evenings: Feb. 11, 18 & Mar. 4 - 6:45 - 9:00 pm   FUMCR

Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Training -- Fri. 7 pm - sunday noon, Mar. 13 - 15, Camp James Ray.  $20.

Youth Training

Oak Leaf Training -  March 27 - 29, Camp Constantine.


Golden Acorn  --   $200 Camp James Ray unless otherwise noted.

Session I - March 16 -21, 2009                                               Session II - July 12-17, 2009
Session III - July 13-18, 2009
Session IV - July 14-19, 2009

Trek Training (If you’re going to Philmont, consider taking this course)

Backcountry Advanced Training – Feb. 12, 19 at 7:00 pm and Camp Feb. 27 - Mar. 1.

Advanced Adult Leader TrainingWood Badge.  3 Courses each year.

Wood Badge 89 - March 26 - 28 and April 9 -11.  Camp James Ray.

Wood Badge 90 at Philmont.  August 24 - 29.
