Boy Scout Troop 1001

Hello all Scouts and Scouters,

Our new PLC met Monday night. Richard H. and TJ F. have a good handle on what is required to keep our high performance troop humming. Thank you for stepping up gentlemen.

Personal Fitness Merit Badge 

The personal fitness merit badge is offered for startup or completion (if you began in the spring) this Saturday June 7th, 10am at Richardson North Junior High School. For additional information or to answer questions contact Mr. Duryea at 214-287-0444 or Mr. Bryan at 972-680-8602.

Summer Camp 

Summer is here and so is summer camp. We will be forming up at 8am Sunday June 8th at Canyon Creek Elementary located at 2100 Copper Ridge Drive.

Please arrive on time so we can get the bus packed, check our final paperwork and leave by 9am. We will be arriving at camp around 2pm. Remember to bring a sack lunch. Do not bring personal electronics.

If you did not participate in our recent swim test make sure your swimsuit is easily accessible as you will take the test when we get to camp. Be sure and check the gear list when packing. Rain gear is essential. A scout is prepared.

High Adventure 

The Philmont crew will be departing for their trek on Tuesday June 10th. Please contact Mr. McClure with any final questions.

The Seabase expedition will be setting sail June 20th. Contact Mr. Bartleme with any questions or concerns.

Thank you to many of the members of the Freebird patrol for taking time this summer to ensure high adventure for our older scouts and a first class summer camp experience for the rest of the troop.

I look forward to seeing many of you Sunday morning at Canyon Creek Elementary.
