Hello all Scouts and Scouters,
Our final campout of the year was a great success. We
played on Galveston Beach, toured NASA and slept
overnight on the Battleship Texas while the Trinity
Bible Church troop flag and Scout World Crest flag
flew overhead. Thanks to the leadership of the NADs (Nik, Alex and Daniel)
we had a fantastic year.
SPL Nik along with fellow Señor Patrol member Tyler
ran a fair and balanced election for new troop
leadership. Congratulations to the new Patrol
Leadership Council (PLC). I am looking forward to
another great scouting season working with SPL
Richard, TJ and crew.
We would not have had much fun without the incredible
support of the adult Freebird patrol. Twelve adults
combined their skills to provide First Aid, Trailer
repair, Food, Shelter and youthful enthusiasm. Thank
you for aiding in the mission to provide these young
men "Fun with a Purpose".
The support of the adult Freebird patrol is invaluable
to make these events happen. If you are in training to
join the Freebird Patrol, thank you. If not, get
trained and come have some fun with a purpose.
Monday night's meeting is not a regular meeting. We
will be having a meeting for parents of scouts going to summer
camp and parents of scouts attending the Philmont trek. Summer camp families
will meet in the Sanctuary, Philmont will meet in the
scout room.
I look forward to seeing many of you at 7 pm Monday,
June 2, 2008 at Trinity Bible Church.
