Mrs. Lofley will be counseling the Communications merit badge on Mondays before the Troop meeting. This badge is required for eagle. Read on for more.

Be ready with your supplies (paper, pencil/pen, notebook, merit badge book) at 6 pm. This is for Scouts 13 and up, due to the writing requirements involved. The communications merit badge is an Eagle requirement. While some of the assignments are a little challenging, they are fun and allow you to use a little creativity. Expect the class to run for 8-10 weeks on most Mondays, including a trip to a city council or school board meeting, writing and giving a speech, some internet research and several short, written papers. Much of the work will be done at home, but shouldn't take more than an hour a week. Assignments will have due dates.
