Boy Scout Troop 1001

Hello all Scouts and Scouters,

The next meeting is MONEY MONDAY! We are gearing up for Camporee the weekend of April 4-6 to be held at Camp Cherokee near Athens, Texas. Everyone planning to attend should bring $10 to the meeting Monday night.

The Philmont trek crew will be participating in a C.O.P.E. course at Camp Wisdom this weekend. I wish them great fun in their challenging outdoor personal experience. Kudos to the crew for making sure they are prepared for their adventure this summer.

Scout show tickets are for sale. This year all proceeds will benefit the troop. For each ten dollar ticket sold there will be $5 contributed to the troop treasury and $5 for the scout in his account. Let's get out there and promote scouting in our community. There is a salesmanship merit badge which can be earned. Interested scouts should stop by the scout room and get a blue card for this merit badge.

Saturday morning, Troop 1001 has the honor of presenting the colors at the Southern District Congressional meeting. Thank you Mr. Miller and Mr. Wakefield for getting this organized.
