Boy Scout Troop 1001

Hello all Scouts and Scouters,

We are taking our first backpacking trip of the season this weekend in southern Oklahoma. Pack light and warm. Proper shoes for hiking should be worn.

We will meet at 5:30pm at the TBC. All scouts should arrive in Class A Uniform with a brown bag dinner. This is a long trip and we don't plan to stop until we reach camp.

Meal money for the rest of the weekend was collected Monday night. If a scout has not yet paid for his meals he must do so before we depart Friday.

We will be tent camping Friday night and breaking camp Saturday morning to begin a backpacking wilderness hike. Patrols will be building wilderness shelters once camp is established Saturday afternoon.

Sunday we will break camp early, hike to the nearest vehicle pickup point and return to the church tired and filled with stories to tell around 1:00pm.
