Boy Scout Troop 1001

All Troop 1001 Parents,

We are having a Troop 1001 parent-committee meeting this Saturday, August 11, at Palomino's Buffet, SW corner of I-75 and Belt Line.

The meeting will take place at 9:30AM in a specific area on the premises. Please join other parents for a buffet breakfast (Dutch) and socializing beforehand if you like.

All committee chairs should have their "ducks in a row" as far as what they need (paperwork, volunteers, etc...) for the year.

We especially encourage our new parents to be in attendance so they will have an idea as to what the year is going to look like, and we strongly encourage them to get involved however feel they can best serve.

We are in serious need of a Troop Secretary to record the minutes of our parent and committee meetings. Nothing fancy required- just take notes at our meetings, then send them to the committee chair and scoutmaster by email. They will be proofread and posted to our website. If this sounds like something you would like to do, bring paper and pen and let me know before the meeting starts.

So far the year looks awesome, I am looking forward to getting the ball rolling again!
