A fellow scouter has asked for our assistance in an Eagle project. Jared C's brother James is a member of another troop. Unfortunately, his troop is smaller than 1001 and he has a shortage of manpower. So he could use the aid of volunteers from Troop 1001.

What: James C’s Eagle Project

James needs scouts to help him with his Eagle Project. Needs help rebuilding parts of an old playground fence. Will be hard labor, and power tools will need to be used. Older boys preferred. Dads welcome.

Where: Richardson East Church of Christ on Cambell between Plano Road and Owens

When: Saturday, June 9, 1:00 to 6:00 pm (After ACT for those taking it)

Notes: Wear old used clothing and bring water bottle(s), sun screen, and a hat. If you, or your dad, has any electric sanders, power saws, regular saws, or hammers, please bring them. Donuts will be provided.

Comments from Nik: One day, you will hopefuly do an Eagle project of your own, and when you do you will truly appreciate those who volunteer their help. Keeping in mind that a scout is helpful, I ask that if you aren't busy just go there and pitch in for a little while. And when you do go be sure he knows you're from Troop 1001 so that later they might return the favor, should we need it.
