scoutmaster_patch_color Hello All Scouts and Scouters,

Tonight there will be a communication merit badge class this evening at 6pm with Mrs. L.

The Scouts will begin preparing for our upcoming water campout on April 20th.

Scout Show tickets will be distributed for sale tonight. These are used to attend the show in May and also for discounts at local retailers. The money a scout earns from the sale of tickets can be applied toward summer camp fees.

Ten Scouts completed Oak Leaf Training this weekend at Camp James Ray. Steven C. was selected as outstanding troop member in his troop. Congratulations Steven and the other nine graduates for a job well done. Thank you to the four Scout staff from 1001 also.

If you did not pay for food last week at Camporee please be prepared to pay $10 tonight to Mr. Roberts. We had 40 scouts and 18 adults attend Camporee while we only collected funds from 18 Scouts and 13 adults. A list of paid individuals will be available at the meeting tonight if you are not sure if you paid.

The busy Spring has sprung itself upon us. Here is a list of upcoming events. Many Scouts need service hours for rank advancement and the opportunity to fulfill those hours is coming in the next three weekends. Take your pick. Please pick one or more. We will need two-deep leadership at each of these events as well.

Saturday April 7 - Trash Bash in Richardson 8am to Noon. Meet at TBC at 8am.

Saturday April 14 - Pals & Partners Cub camping at Camp Cherokee near Athens. All day event.

Saturday April 28th - Heights Elementary Carnival, need uniformed scouts to run games.

Upcoming Troop Activities:

April 20th-22nd - Final Campout of the season. Water campout, most likely Canoe Trip in Oklahoma

April 22nd - Astronaut Charlie Duke speaks at TBC 6:30pm.

May 4,5,6 Cottonwood Fundraiser - all hands on deck

May 14th Court of Honor

May 21 Final Summer Camp Meeting

Check your schedules and plan accordingly. Let's get ready for more fun!

Yours in Scouting,
Scoutmaster Coon
