Boy Scout Troop 1001

Hello all Scouts and Scouters,

I hope you had some time to rest during the recent Spring Breaks, we have a busy Scouting Spring ahead.

Tonight there is a special Committee meeting. Normally these are held on Wednesday but Mr. W. felt we need the entire week to prepare this weekend. All scouts should come in Class A for their normally scheduled meeting and all parents should come inside to the sanctuary to help plan our busy Spring events. We will need all the adult assistance we can assemble.

The topics for this adult meeting include:

• Summer Camp (May-June)
• Scout Show (May)
• Cottonwood Fundraiser (May)
• Court of Honor (May)
• Whitewater Campout (April)
• Charlie Duke Astronaut visit (April)

Oh, how could I forget? Camporee this weekend March 23-25 at Camp Cherokee near Athens. In addition, several scouts will be participating in Oak Leaf Training the following weekend of March 31st.

Merit Badge Classes scheduled tonight at 6:00pm include Communications, First Aid, and God & Country.
