[Ed. note: Winter Camp has been advertised via email for some time but has just now been published here. Be certain to contact Doug Miller immediatly if you want to go. Your webmaster apologizes for the publishing delay.]
Update: Monday, December 11, 2006 If your scout isn't already planning on being away during Christmas break... send him to winter camp! He can work on merit badges, rank advancement (perfect for newer scouts)... Don’t forget the great sled race! We got second due to a technical difficulty last year, but We aim to win it this year! If you have an interest in your scout attending winter camp (Dec 27-31) please let me know by phone TODAY if possible! I need a deposit of $35.00 paid to Troop 1001. You can give it to me now, or send it in the mail ASAP. Either way, if you commit today for your scout to go, you’re on the hook for the $35.00 unless you find someone else to take your scout's slot. You can sign up later as well, but choices for classes may not be as plentiful. Just let me know ASAP if you want your son to go. There will be no refunds to the basic camp registration cost. Registered adult leaders are welcome to attend winter camp. Hal and I are going to be there for the duration. You can come for the whole time, or just a day, or any length you wish, but we must have you registered (and paid) if you plan on being there for the week. Otherwise, you can split the week with someone if you wish. We must have help pulling trailers, and moving scouts to and from, and we need camp help, too! There will be additional cost for food and supplies for this camp, since the camp does not feed the scouts like they do at summer camp. Likely this will be in the neighborhood of $20 to $25, and there may be additional fees for camp supplies depending on what your scout signs up for. See this PDF for more info. Please look at the list of merit badge classes or courses offered and let me know what your scout wants to take. I need this info by Sunday afternoon, or I will choose for him and then try to make adjustments later. BE SURE I have your correct email address by sending me a confirmation and course selection. Regards,
Doug Miller, ASM T1001 |
