Do you receive Scoutmaster Hal Coon's weekly email announcements? If not, you are missing out on Troop 1001's primary way to communicate with scouts, parents, and adult leaders. We really want you to give your attention to these communications, so we keep them brief and try to send only one message per week. We promise to not fill your mailbox with meaningless messages.

Here are the most recent messages from Mr. Coon:

  • Friday, December 8: Court of Honor, Saturday 12/9/2006, Breckinridge Park
  • Monday, December 4: Meeting tonight at 7:00pm, Committee meeting on Wednesday at 7:00pm
  • Monday, November 27: Regular Scout Meeting Tonight at Trinity Bible Church
  • Monday, November 13: PLC Mtg Tonight, No Regular Meeting Until Monday Nov. 27th

If you have not received all of these messages, please do these things for us:

  1. Check you spam or junkmail folder. Look for messages from "Hal Coon, Scoutmaster Troop 1001" or " This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ". If you find any, use your Internet provider's option to indicate "this is not spam". It may just mean performing the next step:
  2. Add This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to your address list. This tells your provider that you want to accept mail from us. You have to do this on your provider's web-based mail. Adding it to Outlook or Thunderbird won't help.
  3. If Mr. Coon's messages are not in your junk mail folder, we may not have your address. Please send a message to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it asking me to add you to the list. Please include your name and your son's name, too, so I know who you are.

We want to communicate with you as effectively as we can and truly appreciate your kind attention.

Yours in Scouting,
Galen Kannarr, Troop 1001 Webmaster
