Boy Scout Troop 1001

[Ed. note: This message was prepared for the October 30 meeting.]

At tonight's meeting we are going over how to set up and take care of tents. We will going over all of the basic knots and lashings that are used in basic pioneering structures.  The troop meeting will also include a session teaching the scouts how to properly set up lanterns and lantern safety.  Finally we will be going over what you are supposed to bring to a campout to be prepared for all types of weather.

All Popcorn monies and forms are due this week. Please turn them in to the Popcorn Colonel Mrs. M.

The leader for this meeting and all of the meetings this month is Paul D.

GOD AND COUNTRY CLASS REMINDER

The next God and Country Class is 6:00 pm this Monday night, October 30, in the Fellowship Hall. Be prepared to discuss one or two things from your work in this segment. If a few of you can arrive at 5:45 to help set up tables, that would help. We will adjourn at 6:45 to prepare for the Troop meeting.

Citizenship in the Community class continues tonight at the TBC at 6:00pm. Please be prepared to discuss the movie from last week and bring any assignments that are due to turn in.
