Hello all Scouts and Scouters,

Tonight the meeting will begin at 6:00pm. The staff from GroupDynamix is bringing an outdoor tag game to play. Each scout planning to play should bring a signed release form to the meeting tonight. If the form did not make it all the way home from last week's meeting it can be found at this link.

Class B will be the uniform of the evening. The four scouts who requested a Scoutmaster's conference are granted a waiver tonight only to have a conference in Class B, however scout socks and belt are still required.

There is no communications merit badge class this evening.

Scouts taking the Citizen in the Community merit badge who still need to meet a public official will be joining Mrs. Van Hamme at 5:30pm at the Richardson City Hall.

Scout Show tickets are still for sale. Scouts that sell tickets will receive 35% of the proceeds in their scout account which can be used to buy gear or even pay for camping fees. Please see Mr. Reavis for tickets.

Some Camporee fees are still not paid. If you did not pay Mr. Roberts for your food at Camporee please do so tonight.

This is the last meeting before our campout at Beaver Bend, Ok. Make sure you check back on the website for additional details about this weekend's event. The camping fee is $25 which covers food and canoe rental. The fee can be paid this evening or Friday before we depart the TBC.

I look forward to seeing you all this evening.

Yours in Scouting,
Scoutmaster Coon

The Canoeing Campout is next weekend, on the 20th through 22nd, at Beaver's Bend, Oklahoma. Adults will be providing Cracker Barrel on Friday night, Lunch Saturday, and Breakfast Sunday. All each needs to worry about is one breakfast and one dinner. Scouts will need to bring $25 total, $20 for the adults and $5 for you patrol leader. SPL, ASPL, and PL elections are this campout. If you want to be part of the elections, talk to Kane.

Use this campout for rank advancement.

This Monday, we will be playing tag at our meeting so lots of things are different from usual. Meet at the church at 6:00 pm in your Class B. Remember to bring a GDX form, signed by your parents, so that you can participate. Bring your summer camp Merit Badge sign-up form camp too.

Grayson's Eagle Project has been moved to April 28, so those who wanted to get the Golf Merit Badge can also do Grayson's Eagle.

scoutmaster_patch_color Hello all Scouts and Scouters,

The Communication Merit Badge participants will meet tonight and will be taken to a RISD School Board meeting at 6:30pm. Please arrive before then so we can arrange for transportation for the group.

If you have not paid for your food for Camporee please pay Mr. Roberts tonight.

Scout Show tickets are for sale. Scouts can apply $3.50 per ticket sold to summer camp fees. This is a great way for scouts to "learn to earn" and help with the family budget.

Tonight's meeting is a combination Troop Meeting and Committee Meeting. We have arranged for the sanctuary for the Committee meeting. This is a very important planning meeting to wrap up this scouting year while planning for summer camp and beyond. At least one adult from each Scout family should plan to attend.

The troop meeting will consist of a dry land canoe safety demonstration. Patrol corners will meet to plan for the campout in two weeks.

See you tonight at the TBC.

Yours in Scouting,
Scoutmaster Coon

Tonight there will be a communication merit badge class this evening at 6pm with Mrs. L.

The Scouts will begin preparing for our upcoming water campout on April 20th.

Scout Show tickets will be distributed for sale tonight. These are used to attend the show in May and also for discounts at local retailers. The money a scout earns from the sale of tickets can be applied toward summer camp fees.

Ten Scouts completed Oak Leaf Training this weekend at Camp James Ray. Steven C. was selected as outstanding troop member in his troop. Congratulations Steven and the other nine graduates for a job well done. Thank you to the four Scout staff from 1001 also.

If you did not pay for food last week at Camporee please be prepared to pay $10 tonight to Mr. Roberts. We had 40 scouts and 18 adults attend Camporee while we only collected funds from 18 Scouts and 13 adults.
