Choose Regions > Region Calendars and search on Region 3 (RISD, GISD), 25 (PISD). Other nearby regions: 20 (DISD) and 24 (Carrolton, Frisco). Once at the region calendar, choose the Region UIL Website or the Region TMEA Website link to find the region's competition calendar. Band events are most likely conflict with scouting. These include Marching Band almost every Friday night through October Marching Competition all day one Saturday Late in October All-Region Band auditions in December Solo & Ensemble one Saturday in February UIL Competition (AKA Competition & Sight-Reading) in March Band trips in late spring (school-specific) Choir and orchestra have similar events at different times but fewer Scouts are involved in them. Best bet for planning the 1001 calendar: have a music educator interpret the band competition schedules for regions 3 and 25 for you in July, just before the troop calendar is planned.	104
